High vibration, good energy, law of attraction . . . these are common things you may hear about in the world of personal improvement + spiritual development.
But just what exactly are these things and why do they matter? How can they help you attract abundance, be happier and find love?
In a nutshell . . .
Nobel prize winning physicists have proven beyond doubt that the physical world we see (our bodies, a tree, a slice of pizza, a bird) are all energy forms that come in and out of our awareness in milliseconds—over and over again.
We live in a giant sea of energy.
They have also proven that our thoughts are what give these objects we “see” meaning. In other words, thoughts are things. Thoughts create what we see—our reality.
Now, this is a very rudimentary explanation of the process….and one can certainly go further down the rabbit hole, but the point is—YOU create and shape your reality by what you choose to think and also what you choose to feel.
These thoughts and feelings are your vibration.
Consider yourself like one giant magnet, attracting to you similar vibrations and energies that you are giving off. This is the basic premise of law of attraction—you attract what you give off.
Ever notice how the most joyful, carefree people seem to have joy filled, carefree lives? And those who complain and focus on the negative tend to attract things to complain and be negative about?
Some people like to call it high vibration or good energy. For me, I like to call it aligned energy—this is where my energy is aligned with what I love, what makes me feel good and what keeps me attracting things I want in my life. Because the truth is, whether you call it high, good or aligned energy—it’s all about you finding out what it means for you. You may feel your energy is more aligned when you walk in nature, whereas for the next person, it may be playing their guitar or taking a nap.
It’s simple, and complex at the same time, because most people aren’t truly aware of just exactly what sort of vibration they are putting out into the world, on a consistent basis.
You see, with energy and vibration, it’s about consistency.
Most of us don’t really take time to think about it in our busy lives. We just get on the hamster wheel of life and go throughout our days, week, and years, unaware of the fact that we may have underlying feelings about money that are really holding us back from attracting the prosperity that we desire. And its the same with any topic—be it health, happiness or love.
So the main key to creating a higher vibration— is to become aware of it.
Here are 4 key strategies to increasing your awareness about your energy/vibration
- Keep a journal. Take time ( 5-10 minutes is fine) to sit down and write. You don’t have to have a specific topic in mind, just write. Get in the habit of putting what’s in your head + heart down on paper. This is one way to start to realize what you are thinking and feeling. It’s one way to get more in touch with what things are really on your mind. You may have a tendency to burry things and hide from uncomfortable feelings, so writing and journaling about them is a great way to get it out. Journaling has changed my life and helped my to become much more aware of what I am truly feeling and therefore putting out into the sea of energy we call life.
- Breathe. Most of us go throughout the day shallow breathing. Learning to be more conscious about your breath and taking longer, deeper breaths throughout the day, is a quick fix to getting in touch with your energy and also instantly raising it.
- Alone time. Make a habit (daily if you can) of taking time to meditate, or get out in nature, go fishing, do some yoga, . . . whatever it takes for you to unplug from the noisy world and just be in the stillness. This is critical for you to become—not only aware of your energy—but to learn to shift it into a more balance, aligned energy.
- Be honest about your life. Do you have what you want? Are you happy? The biggest clue as to the true energy you are putting out in the world–is to take a look at your life from a very real, honest place. Are you where you want to be? If not, change your energy, to change your results. If we continually have chaos..thats a pretty good indication our energy is not aligned. If you continually experience happiness, you are on track. Keep it up!
Why do you need a high vibration or aligned energy?
You need this if you want to learn to be an active co-creator in your life, rather than feeling life just happens to you.
If you really have a true desire to find true inner happiness, love and prosperity in your life—understanding the basics of vibration + energy is a good place to start.
Plus, learning to master what you think and how you feel—just feels better!
And, like my favorite spiritual teachers say—Life is supposed to feel good.
As always . .
I know. I get it. I really, really get it. I hid for so many years. I was afraid to step into my power, my passion + my inherent divine prosperity.
And then I knew that to stay in that place would eventually end up killing me. I made a choice, no matter what to come out of my shell and shine.
How many of us come up with all kinds of excuses why we CAN’T do something? We can’t because we are too busy. We can’t because we don’t have enough money. We can’t because we are tired. We can’t because we don’t know how.
Can’t is a four letter word and if you want to be happy and manifest a life that you love—then you gotta get rid of the “I can’t” belief.
You are the one choosing what to think and how to feel. And with that awareness and that consciousness, you can shape your life.
Want health? Then think mainly healthy thoughts and feel healthy feelings. Want wealth? Then think and feel in ways that line up with wealth consciousness. Want love? Be loving! Whatever it is you desire to manifest—you get there by learning to master your choice of thoughts and feelings.
We are all energy and the energy and vibration you put out in the world, is largely the energy you will get back from the world. This is manifesting 101 and it’s the base of it all. If you truly desire to step into a sense of feeling powerful, passionate and prosperous in your life—it starts with the very real point of learning to be in control (even though I don’t like that word) of your thoughts and feelings. In other words, you run them, they don’t run you.
When you can get to that place, you will see a world of passion, prosperity and power (conscious power) open up to you.
Or……you will just feel better and enjoy your life and that’s what it’s all about!
p.s. I will be a bit off the grid for the next 2 weeks. I am heading to San Diego to spend a week with my mentor, Tara Marino and a group of women I have been in a mastermind group with for the last 9 months. I will share pictures and insights from the road, but may not be around as much as I ususally am! Enjoy your Spring! xo
Manifesting is simply learning to choose feelings, thoughts and actions (really in that order of importance) that line up with what you want.
It’s simple, but maybe not be so easy all the time.
It’s simple because logically, most of us understand that our feelings, thoughts and actions have an energetic component to them—anger has an energy, love has an energy, jealousy has and energy, forgiveness has an energy. Just as actions and thoughts have an energy as well.
So . . . the whole idea with manifesting is that we can get closer to what we want by choosing energy that is similar. If we want health, think healthy thoughts, feel healthy feelings and then match it up with healthy actions.
If we want more money, feel good feelings about money, think good thoughts about money and act in ways that support prosperity. For example, an energy of prosperity wouldn’t throw away pennies or leave money laying around. An energy of prosperity would appreciate money, even down to the penny. An energy of prosperity wouldn’t speak often of being broke or not being able to afford things. An energy of prosperity would feel, think and act in alignment with already having wealth, even though it may not be there yet.
Manifesting is simply choosing how we feel, think and act from a conscious, aware place. Then we sit back and enjoy having that energy come back to us in the form of things we desire.
You gotta feel it, think it and see it (in your mind, know it) and consciously CHOOSE to know it’s on its way—in order for it to be on its way.
It’s the removal of doubt from your thoughts and feelings.
And, it’s not the “fake it until you make it” energy. This isn’t about lying to yourself. It’s about making realistic changes in how we think, feel and act.
To go from a checking account balance of $100 to saying that you will have a million next month is most likely not an energetic match. There is probably a good portion of your energy that doesn’t really believe that is true.
In other words, you may really feel like you can have that million in a month, but it may take a good hard look at your patterns of thoughts, feelings and behavior to really uncover your deeper feelings about prosperity. Maybe you were brought up feeling like people who have money are selfish, snobby or materialistic. Maybe you grew up believing money is too hard to make, so what’s the point?
Manifesting is learning how to get the health, wealth, happiness and personal growth we desire by being choosy about how we feel.
Feeling angry is a choice. Feeling fearful is a choice. Feeling faithful is a choice. Feeling hopeful is a choice. If you can learn to be conscious about what you choose to feel, you are on the road to being a ninja at manifesting.
Manifesting is simply learning how to master your choices, so that you can master your life.
p.s. Ever dream of going to the south of France? How about strolling through Provence and getting super clear about your desires? How would it feel to spend 3 days in Provence and come home KNOWING who you are, what you want and how to make it happen? Stay tuned for information on my Provence trip this summer/fall!
I asked this question on my Facebook page a few days ago and many people joined in. The most common answers were family, friends and life experiences.
Not surprising, really.
Even though we live in a culture of excess, when it comes right down to it, what we really value most are those things that give us a sense of connection, pleasure and meaning.
What we value tends to be interchangeable with what we are passionate about, what drives us and lights our fire.
It’s not always about the cars, the clothes, and the material things, although that is what our society largely pushes and praises. Yes, those things can provide us with enjoyment and there is a certain value in having nice things, but they aren’t on the top of the list when it comes to what we value the most.
It’s not to say there is anything wrong with valuing money. Prosperity and abundance are things I value, because I know that money can have a huge impact on my health, my time, and experiences I have with my family.
What you value is really a very clear indication of not only who you are, but what’s important to focus on in order to be truly fulfilled. If you value spending time in nature, but aren’t doing it, you will feel off and disconnected. If you value spending time with your kids and aren’t doing it, you will feel like something is missing.
Life gives us clues, both large and small, when we are out of sync with what we love—what we value. Boredom, depression, illness, relationship issues, recurring problems are just a few of the clues that might come our way when we get off track with our values.
Paying attention to what you value in life is critical to living a meaningful life. Creating a life you love, is really all about learning to make the right choices. And making the right choices is how we can start the process of manifesting or getting what we want in life by being masters of our thoughts and feelings. The right choice(s) being those things that get you closer to having what you value in your life.
Here a few quick tips on how to get clear about your values and how you can use that awareness to manifest whatever you desire in your life—better health, prosperity, happiness, or more time with family and friends.
- Make a list of the top 5 things you value the most
- Now be really real with yourself—how much are you paying attention to these things? How much time and energy do you spend nurturing these values?
- If you feel like you aren’t putting enough time into some of your values, make a list of things you can do to change that. What choices can you make today, to bring more of those things you value into your life?
- If there are things that you value on your list that you do feel you pay attention to and you don’t feel out of balance with, then celebrate that! Give yourself credit. I know it may seem dorky, but when you can get into a place of appreciation and gratitude for what you HAVE created, then that just sends the signal to the universe for more of that. Appreciation in any area of our life sets the stage for abundance to flow in all directions. The better you feel, the more good stuff you will attract into your experience.
And most of all, have fun and enjoy. We don’t get into a space of ninja manifesting by stressing, beating ourselves up or being overly rigid about things.
Love yourself more.
Ciao, fellow choice makers!
Quick video about choice strategy, what it is and why it benefits us. Choice strategy is all about being conscious of our choices and then using them to design a life we love—a life of health, prosperity, happiness and growth.
Our choices = our life. If we can learn how to be ninja choice makers, we can live life on our own terms. We can feel inspired, joyful, grounded and in our truths.
It’s the way to live. Say yes! Choose you and a life that has fullness and meaning.
Wherever you are, enjoy your day. Leave a comment, and let me know how you are choosing wiser to live larger.
I fess up. I am guilty of judging. I think we all do, or have at some point in our lives.
There is part of it that feels like a natural process of discovering what we want. It is how we are able to decide and CHOOSE what it is that we like, or dislike in life.
But when does a simple observation about something turn negative or harmful?
An observation turns to a negative judgment when we hold ourselves “above” another based on our observations. It is taking our observation of something or someone and labeling it as wrong, bad, morally corrupt, weak, lazy, and any other terms that might elicit a negative response or feeling.
Hmmmm . . . but isn’t there a tiny shred of value in that, at times?
Isn’t it a factual statement that a person that is honorable and does good things, is kind and considerate, is labeled as a “better” person than someone that is cruel, abusive and corrupt?
Isn’t that a judgment?
The entire concept of judgment seems to carry many mixed messages.
Who can, beyond a shadow of a doubt, prove that one persons version of “right” is more right than anothers?
Maybe right and wrong is just a personal thing and when we start to place our version of what we think is right or wrong on another—that is where the trouble begins.
As the saying goes, live and let live. Right?
But, that is one of those sayings that is easy to say and not so easy for most to live.
Why? Because most humans think that their way is the right way. So what is the solution?
The solution is to not be attached to our version of what is right and wrong. To not make others wrong for their beliefs. To let go of negative judgments and allow others to live their truths.
One smaller scale solution is to not beat ourselves up when we judge and seek discernment about it.
Only you can be the judge of when a mere observation turns into a negative for you.
One thing I ask myself when I find myself in judgment is I turn it around and ask myself if it’s something I really am judging about myself, or something I fear that others might judge me for.
Sometimes, judgment is the best form of self reflection. It’s the “when you point the finger, you have 3 pointing right back at you” concept.
Judging , in my opinion turns against us when we use it as an excuse to NOT be our best selves. When we hide behind it to stay stuck stay in our wounds, our false perceptions, and our weaknesses.
Perhaps by seeing contrasting things, or things we might label as wrong, negative or horrible, we are able to have more clarity and certainty about what we love. But it seem that a little bit of judgment seeps into that process.
I believe that we are here to enjoy life. To choose to remember our common bond that we all share, no matter what our perceived differences are—that we walk the same planet together. We all feel. We all breathe. We are all in this together, no matter what our differences.
Choose Love. Choose to let go of negative judgments that hold you back from being the best version of you. Choose to feel good, because that is what keeps you in a space of manifesting health, wealth, happiness and your desires.
Please leave a comment and let me know your take on judgment or observation. What do you think?
